Who we are, what we do, and why
Welcome to DragonFjord! We live and work on Trondheimsfjord, one of the largest fjords in Norway. Our part of the fjord is called Drakestrand, which means “Dragon Shores”. It is an area rich in viking history and tales of magic.
We design original puzzles that are engaging, beautiful and smart. Each is a piece of artwork with a clever design that offers many secrets for you to explore. You will be proud to display these puzzles in your home, school or office, and keep coming back to enjoy and investigate them again and again.
DragonFjord puzzles – forged in fjord fire!
Solving puzzles is a great way to develop fundamental skills that help in every area in life. We design whimsical puzzles based on beautiful mathematical ideas with designs that offer many different challenges. We think that puzzles should be such that you want to play with them over and over and enjoy them for many years.
Art for your home
Puzzles should not only be fun and challenging – they should be beautiful as well. Our puzzles are made so that you can display them as artwork in your home and office. We hope that our puzzles will make you smile when you see them, brighten your environment a little, and invite you to come play with them again and again.
We are a married couple with long careers in education who joined forces to start our own company. For many years we have created learning products and delivered courses on new and exciting ways to teach and learn mathematics.
A few years ago we began making puzzles just for fun. Now it has grown into a full-time job for both of us. We have a blast designing and testing puzzle designs and finding new and innovative ways to produce our puzzles. DragonFjord puzzles and games is growing quickly and we couldn’t be more excited!
We are happy you came to visit and hope you enjoy our puzzles very much!
